In 1985, after several years of working for different construction
companies, Ray Fleischer, Jr. decided that it was time to go into
business for himself. He started his venture with an old, meticulously
clean, 1979 Chevy pickup and a couple of friends. With plenty of
trade experience and ambition, he formed R&R Construction. Even
though he lived in Pennsylvania, he spent much of his time roofing
and siding new homes in Eastern New Jersey for Ken Stark, owner
of Tri-Con Construction.
As word of his work quality and ethic spread, he started to get
contracts with several, highly reputable builders throughout New
Jersey. These years helped Ray develop keen business skills and
fine tune his customer relations.

Jerry, Ray's brother, joined the venture in 1987. Within about
a year, he decided to pursue another opportunity. Jerry accompanied
his father in New York City to work as a carpenter. A short time
later, Ray was joined by his brother, Matt. Matt and Ray slowly
built the business to include more equipment and clients. These
clients now included home owners, who were building new homes or
renovating existing homes. Many of these new clients shared their
philosophy of quality building. The new clients also allowed them
to work closer to home. Within a couple of years, they persuaded
Jerry to return. By this time, Jerry worked for years as a foreman
with a construction union in New York City. Consequently, he offered
many new and valuable skills, which would benefit the business.

In the early 1990's, with all the brothers on board,
Fleischer Brothers Construction was born. Now, armed with a large
knowledge of the construction industry, roofing and siding systems,
business practices and customer relations, the foundation was set.
The brothers expanded into the Slate Belt, Poconos, Lehigh Valley,
Lake Wallenpaupack, Wilkes Barre/Scranton, New York, and New Jersey
areas in a matter of years. They quickly built a business with a
reputation for fast, clean, high quality work with friendly, reliable
service at reasonable prices. The services they offered expanded
into all types of roofing, siding, gutters, windows and general
construction.

Today, all three brothers work famously together sharing
ideas, organizing their businesses and consulting each other. They
are often conversing before the sun rises into the late night.
They recently had the fortunate opportunity to acquire the managerial
skills of their sister Kim. All together their commitment to providing
the best work at reasonable prices is never-ending. In an effort
to do so, they have always kept Fleischer Bros. Construction as
three separate business entities. This has proven to be beneficial
for builders, home owners and the brothers.
They can provide personal attention and critical regard to each
job, yet have the shared knowledge and experience of all three.
Also, purchasing supplies in quantity, for all of their jobs combined,
allows them to pass savings on to the customer.

All three brothers feel very fortunate to be able to work regularly
in the communities in which they reside and raise their children,
therefore, they try to give back by involving themselves in numerous
local events and charities. They often sponsor local sports, teams,
benefit golf tournaments and many school and firehouse fund raisers.
